Healthy Weight Loss Tips  versus Yo-Yo dieting
There is no shortage of advice on healthy weight loss, there are suggestions flying from every corner, but if you want some advice that will really work for you, then check out the tips below.

Lots of people are on a mission to lose fat, and at times, the goal seems very hard to achieve. People try all kinds of fad diets, boot camp, and even surgery to achieve fat loss,(which should only be the last resort!) and as a result, end up going up and down the diet scales, with some disastrous effects on their health!

It is more important from a health point of view to keep your weight stable, it’s the continuous losing and re-gaining weight which ends up putting ever more fat on your body, and can seriously undermine your health!

So the following suggestions may be just the trick to helping you lose weight in a healthy manner.
Great Tasting Low Calories, not starvation!

If you are looking to lose weight healthily, the best-kept secret of them all is to really enjoy what you are eating. When the food you are eating tastes like cardboard and is unappetising, you probably will not stick with the diet very long. The key is to find foods that are high on taste but low in calorific value. You can use foods like these as special treats to keep you on target. A great example are prawns; a dozen large prawns only contain about 60 calories!you could add a tablespoon of extra light mayo for another 20 cals, giving you great low-cal flavour!
If you have a bit of a sweet tooth try adding a little whipped spray cream to your fruit, it only has 8 calories and is a perfect way to feel indulged.

    New Dishes

Controlling your portion size is perhaps one of the easiest ways to lose weight. Most of us use huge dinner plates every time we eat and trying to determine correct portions is nearly impossible. Put away the large plates and invest in some nine-inch plates for your regular meals. When you are using a small plate you can heap the food on and believe you are indulging when in fact you are eating much less. Also, having large helpings of vegetables is a very good way of filling up and looks good on the plate!
    Calories Do Count

It does not matter what method of weight loss your are using, calories do matter. Even if you are working your tail off at a boot camp, you still need to be aware of the calories you are taking in. Studies have shown that even moderate calorie cutting, say 10-20% can help you with fat loss. If you are serious about losing the weight, start keeping a food diary, get into the habit of writing down EVERYTHING that goes in your mouth daily! Then count up the calories at the end of the day, You can either buy yourself a handy calorie counter book or use the internet to help you, you will soon see a pattern emerging of your eating habits and then start to adjust your intake accordingly.

    Keep Moving but Reduce Stress

Healthy weight loss can easily be sabotaged for some of the worst reasons. A horrible day at the office followed by a nightmare journey home stuck in traffic jams can equal a double cheese pepperoni pizza for dinner, with a large side of fries and that is just for you! Boredom can also be your worst enemy, when you are sitting around the house with nothing to do, your thoughts will soon drift to what your next snack will be!! Keep your hands and your mind busy!

Learn some relaxation techniques for dealing with stress, meditation and deep breathing exercises are simple and free! Finally try to have a hobby, anything that will keep your occupied and engrossed. Bird watching, jig-saw puzzles, or even reading can keep you from eating that quart of ice cream that is calling your name, better yet, go out for a nice brisk walk with the dog!
