Water Can Help You To Lose Weight!

What would you say if I told you that a major key to weight loss is increasing the amount of water you drink every day? You might think I was a bit strange because this idea is a bit odd, but allow me to explain and see what you think.

Drinking water for weight loss increases the efficiency of your digestion and aids your body with vital nutrient absorption. On the other hand, when you are not taking in enough water your digestion will be sluggish and you will be less able to absorb all the necessary nutrients from your food.

When you consider that food cravings are the body’s way of telling you it needs  something  in particular. This is the result of not getting the proper nutrients and sometimes this can happen when you have just had a meal! This takes us right back to needing adequate water for digestion, the food is not digested properly and your body will feel like it still missing out on certain nutrients.

To  cut to the chase,  in  order for your body to receive the nutrients  it needs from the food you consume, you must drink plenty of water. You should also be aware that carbohydrates and sugar are absorbed more quickly than other nutrients which means if you  are even slightly dehydrated you will not get the nutrients you need and will have only achieved empty calories.

    That’s not ideal is it?

If you would like to naturally speed up your body’s metabolism, simply increase the amount of water you are drinking. You may find it difficult at first, but persevere and you will find yourself naturally becoming more and more thirsty, until drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water a day becomes perfectly normal for you. Not to mention the fact that your body will benefit from the increased nutrition. At the end of the day, you will have achieved a healthy weight loss that is not only natural but also 100% safe.

    What about water weight?

It may sound strange but drinking lots of pure water will not cause you to gain weight, quite the reverse, it will help rid your body of the toxins that do cause you to retain water. Try to cut down on the amount of salt you consume generally, and you will lose water weight as well.

Energy levels are highly affected by your hydration levels. If your bodily hydration levels drop even a little, you can lose a large amount of energy. Besides you’ll need to keep your energy levels up in order to get the exercise you need to lose weight!

Your liver is the organ responsible for metabolizing fat stores into energy for the body and it depends on water to do this job. This means that more water intake equals better fat burning ability and will show greatly in your hips, thighs and buttocks. Weight loss is not the only thing you achieve when you drink more water; do you want to rid yourself of cellulite? Get rid of that horrid orange peel skin on your thighs & bottom, metabolize that fat away today!

Where you get your water from is vitally important as well. The liver seeks to use fat stores for energy and it does this in conjunction with your kidneys. Now if the water you are consuming is full of chemicals and toxins the liver will have to work on clearing these substances instead of breaking fat into energy.

Any weight loss program you look at has two major functions, to reduce  calories  and increase your metabolism or fat burning ability. You can achieve both of these vitally important steps by simply drinking pure water.
